About Ornia

Built by people who refused to look away.

Ornia Limited (formerly Rova HealthTech Limited) exists because too many families learn about danger after it has already happened. We're building the alternative.

Our story

The numbers we couldn't unsee.

Every year, millions of babies never see their first birthday. Many die silently, during sleep — in the small hours when no one is watching and nothing raises the alarm for parents who love them without limit. One infant, roughly every 6.5 seconds, somewhere in the world.

We looked at those numbers and could not treat them as background noise. Ornia was founded to interrupt that statistic — not with another app that summarises data after the fact, but with a device that learns your specific baby's vital fingerprint and acts, locally and instantly, the moment something departs from it.

We are a small team working across Lagos, Nigeria and the United Kingdom, building hardware, firmware, and clinical safety logic under one roof — because a guardian that never sleeps can't afford a weak link between the sensor on your baby's ankle and the alert on your phone.

What we believe

Commitments, not marketing lines.

We do not sell data. We never have and we never will.

Your baby's biometric data is not a product. We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties — full stop.

A free core safety tier, always

Essential monitoring and alerting must never be conditioned on a family's financial capacity. That's a founding commitment, not a pricing tactic.

Safety that works offline

Autonomous response never depends on a server being reachable. A dropped connection should never be the reason help arrives late.

Built for every baby

Our sensors are calibrated across the full Fitzpatrick skin-tone scale. Accurate readings should never depend on skin tone.
